Grp and Gelcoat Repairs are something that is necessary when installing equipment. You have to get good at it, whether its creating a shelf for an anchor windlass, building up strength to a bulkhead for fitting an autopilot drive or repairing holes where an old instrument has been. It is only years of experience that makes you good at it. It must be heartbreaking seeing your beloved boat damaged.
